About Us
Since 1995, Peggy Martinez has worked in the disability accessibility sector in higher education, as a business owner, and in nonprofit management. Wayfinding and walkability have always been important to Peggy and she is now directing her professional focus to this area. “People need to get to work, play, and everywhere in between. Spaces truly function when requirements of all people are addressed in design. Remediation is costly and frustrating for all concerned, so let’s avoid that! Let’s consider people of all abilities when designing street crossings, bike lanes, public plazas, and other areas in the public realm.”
In addition to her extensive transit and technology expertise, Peggy is a talented musician, music lover and attender of shows and concerts. Combining this passion with her knowledge and skill set, Peggy brings unique insight and creativity when working with music venues to ensure their facilities are accessible to people with sight loss.
